Designing the sound of your story

I think my interest in sound design began the first time I watched Star Wars as a young boy. I heard those light sabers and the space ships screaming by and I knew I was hearing something special. I experimented by recording things in my environment and changing them into something else when I was a teen. I loved manipulating audio until something new was born (thanks mom for hours of assisting me with pouring water from buckets, and all kinds of other strange experiments). As much fun as it is to create something new, sound design isn’t always about bringing imaginary things to life. Sometimes it’s capturing the illusive or depicting uncommon occurrences  (an impact of specific types of items, etc). Anytime a production needs pristine audio to match their imagery, DIAVI should be your go-to source.
